engageatanytimewithoutwarning.
Anyonenearthefanwhenitturnson
couldbeinjured.Beforeturningon
theignition,besurethatnooneis
nearthefan.
•Checkallfastenersfortightness.
Checkforstresscracksinthe
shroud.Makesuretheshroudis
adjustedsothatitdoesnottouch
thefanblades.
•Checktoverifythatthefanis
disengaged(notturning)with
theenginerunningatnormal
operatingtemperatures(fromcold
tothepointthatthefanengages).
•Checkfanblademountingbolts.
Inspectfanbladestobesurethey
arenotcrackedorbent.

•Checkallfastenersforcondition
andsecurity.Repairorreplace
anybrokenordefectivefasteners.
•Checkforchangortears.Patch
itifnecessary.Findthecauseof
thedamage.Ifanycomponent
oraccessoryiscausingwearor
damageandcannotberelocated,
putreinforcingpadsontheblanket
atthesiteofwear.
