15.11 Hook-to-needle clearance
Requirement
When the bottom marking of the ascending needle bar is level with the lower edge of the
needle bar bush
1. the hook point 5 should be at a distance of 0.05 – 0,1 mm from the needle groove.
2. the distance between the needle and the tip of the hook race should be 7.5 mm.
● Loosen screws 1, 2 and 3.
● Turn the eccentric pin 4 in accordance with the requirements.
● Tighten screws 2 and 3.
Screw 1 remains loosened for further adjustments.
