8.4. Connecting additional monitors or intercom panels
Your videophone can be used in a single-family or two-family conguration. Single family mode is
the most traditional mode: one call button for one house with one or more monitors. The two-family
mode is useful if two houses share the same entrance, or if part of your home is being converted into
student accommodation or a rented holiday home, for example. In two-family mode, the intercom
panel has two name holders, each of which can be used to call either of the homes.
Single-family conguration:
- You can connect one or two intercom panels.
- You can connect one to three monitors.
- Each intercom panel triggers a call to all the monitors in the house.
- You can call each monitor from another monitor.
Two-family conguration:
- You can connect one or two intercom panels.
- You can connect one to three monitors per family, i.e. a maximum of six monitors in total
on the installation.
- The call button (bell icon) on the intercom panel is replaced with a second name holder
(supplied) to identify and call either of the two families. In two-family mode, the top button
corresponds with family 1 and the bottom button with family 2
- Each intercom panel can be used to call either of the two families.
- Within a family, you can call each monitor from another monitor.
Warning:
- Wiring each element of the installation is not enough: there is a conguration stage to follow so
that each intercom panel and monitor is aware of all the elements in the installation.
- Following each conguration, the entire installation must be restarted: all the monitors must
be disconnected from their power supply simultaneously to implement the changes made to the
wiring.
- For correct operation in two-family mode, the entire installation must be powered up. If there is a
power cut in family 1, family 2 will no longer receive any calls either.
