Wiring the Inputs and Outputs
7-4 Operating Manual: PSS 3075-3 Series
Digital inputs
Features:
48 digital inputs (DI2) I0.0 ... I0.31, I1.0 ... I1.9
Inputs I3.0 ... I 3.5 can be configured as alarm inputs (DIF)
Response time:
I0.00 ... I0.31: 1 ms
I1.0 ... I1.9: 1 ms
I3.0 ... I3.5: 0.5 ms
Only one 0 V terminal needs to be connected to terminals:
- X3 or X4 for digital inputs I0.0 ... I0.16
- X5 or X6 for digital inputs I1.0 ... I1.9, I3.0 ... I3.5
- X10 or X11 for digital inputs I0.16 ... I0.31
However, we recommend both terminals are connected.
Only input signals which operate in accordance with the failsafe principle
(on switching off) are safety-related.
Signals may be connected to the digital inputs (DI2) using unscreened
cables. If there are potential sources of interference, screened cables will
be required for connecting alarm signals to the alarm inputs (DIF) and, if
the alarm inputs are pulsed, for supplying the test pulses.
If necessary,
the supply to the system can be buffered.
CAUTION!
The connection shown overleaf is only approved for non-safety
applications. The connection of input devices for safety-related applications
is described in the examples that follow.
