indenitely.Whenthishappens,itmaybethattheotherstationisnotsending
any tone.
YoucanpressPTTkeytohaltthescanatanytime.
YoualsocanpressMONIkeyduringTonescanningtolistentothe(muted)sig-
nalfromtheotherstation.WhenyoureleasetheMONIkey,Tonescanningwill
resume.

Iftherepeatersinyourcountryrequirea1750Hzburst toneforaccess(typi-
callyinEurope),youcanpressandhold keyfor2sandtransmitterwillauto-
maticallybe activated,anda 1750Hz audio tonewill be superimposedon the
carrier. Once access to the repeater has been gained, you may release and
usePTTkeyforactivatingthetransmitter.
