• First connect a measuring lead to the earth and THEN the other measuring
lead to the live wire. When disconnecting the measuring leads , di-
sconnect first of all the lead connected to the live wire.
• When working with the measurement prods, keep your fingertips
BEHIND the finger protectors on the prods.
• Before opening the battery compartment cover, remove the measuring
leads from the multimeter.
• Do not use the multimeter if the battery compartment cover or parts of
the housing are not assembled or have become loose.
• To avoid incorrect measurement values, which could lead to electric
shocks or injuries, replace the batteries as soon as the indicator for
weak batteries ( ) resp. drained batteries ( ) is displayed.
• For the power supply of the multimeter use exclusively 9 V block batteries
of the type 6F22/6LR61 and insert them into the battery compartment
correctly.
Caution!
To avoid damage to the multimeter and/or the object being tested, pay
heed to the following instructions:
• Before continuity, diode, frequency and resistance measurements, switch
off the power supply to the object being tested and discharge all high-
voltage condensors.
• For current measurements, switch off the power supply to the object
being tested before connecting the multimeter to it.
