2 Router Installation
This chapter will guide you how to setup a router with your ISP network. Please ensure do not place the
router in enclosed area such as closet and cabinet.
2.1 Setup Requirement
In order to setup PRC2401U you need to ensure the following item in the list is available.
• Internet Access (DSL, Modem or existing Wireless Router).
• Ethernet Cable with RJ45 connector at both end.
• Computer equip with Ethernet Network adapter RJ45 (10Base-T or 100Base-TX or 1000Base-
TX).
• Wireless Network Adapter capability IEEE802.11a/b/g/n/ac.
• Web Browser such as (Microsoft Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Opera, or Safari).
2.2 Router Positioning
For the best Wi-Fi signal transmission between PRC2401U and network devices that connect to it:
• Place the PRC2401U in a well-ventilated place and avoid exposure to moisture or excessive
heat.
• Keep away or avoid placing PRC2401U from electrical devices or appliance that generate the
electromagnetic wave. To prevent Wi-Fi signal interference and signal loss
• Place PRC2401U where it can be connected to multiple client and power source to ease the
installation work.
• If possible, use a wired connection below 2 meters during the setup process to avoid any
problem possibilities
