Addressing Principles
All Prolon controllers must have a valid address to be able to communicate on a network. Some Prolon controllers use physical
dipswitches, others must be addressed using software or a digital wall sensor with display. (Consult section #5: “Controller
addressing methods”)
Note: Possible addresses range between 1 and 127.
Acceptable
•Sequentialaddressingisacceptable
•Non-sequentialaddressingisacceptable
Not acceptable
•Controllers that have no valid address WILL NOT COM-
MUNICATE. (Ex: addressing dipswitches set to OFF)
•Each address must be UNIQUE and never replicated
within the entire network, even if controllers are located
ondierentcommunicationbussegments.
