Prolon controllers come equipped with one or more inputs designed to monitor the many variables required by their
control sequences (temperature, humidity, pressure, dry contact, etc.). These inputs all share a single electrical
common connection. (Refer to I/O section for specic hardware / prole input conguration.)
Connecting Sensors & Peripherals
Active signals
Prolon controllers may read signals from active transmitters
such as humidity, pressure, CO2, gas levels, etc. Standard
signals accepted are either current (4-20mA) or voltage
(0-5Vdc/1-5Vdc/0-10Vdc*). The positive signal polarity
connects to the input terminal, the negative polarity to the
common strip.
*C1050 only
Temperature
Prolonuses10kΩthermistorstandard(type3)temperature
sensors. These are non-polarity sensitive, with one wire
going to the input terminal, the other to the common strip.
Dry contact
Anisolateddrycontactisusedtoconrmanon-ostatus
suchasoccupancy,proofofequipment(fans,pumps,etc.)
or other digital logic. Contact must be non-polarity sensitive
and connect with one end going to the input terminal and
the other to the common strip.
