Time Gain Compensation: This feature amplifies echoes that are further away from the
transducer to provide a more balanced B-scan (See figure above.)
Objects close to the surface are not amplified, while those deeper in the element are amplified.
It is often used to make the backwall echo more visible without amplifying near-surface objects
that would distort the image.
