3.1.3 Turning the speaker on/off
The PureWave PEMI contains a speaker, called beeper from now on. This beeper signalizes a button-click, an
error or the end of therapy with different sounds, each. The button-clicks acoustical echo sound, as well as the
error signal sound, may not be turned off, however, the acoustic signal sound at the end of a therapy session, can
be turned ON or OFF, since the “End of Session Sound” could disturb some people.
Depending on its status, one of the following displays will appear:

These are always visible for 1.5 seconds before returning to the previous status. If the I/O-
button is being pressed while the display shown above is visible, the end of therapy signal’s
status will be changed, i.e. the switched-on signal will be turned off and vice versa.
The end of therapy’s signal status may be checked by simply
pressing the I/O-button.
