What to do if hot-swapping failed drives on QNAP Network Hardware?

If hot-swapping a failed drive, log on to QES as administrator and go to Main Menu > Storage Manager > Storage > Disks. Locate the failed drive, then prepare a new hard drive with the same or larger capacity. Remove the failed drive from the NAS, wait 20 seconds (or until the NAS beeps twice), remove the failed drive from the tray, insert the new drive into the tray, and install the new drive.
