For machines with the standby function without a switch on/under the bedplate,
this function is switched on/off as follows:
1. Switch off the machine.
2. Hold the lever up as if dispensing coffee.
3. Switch the machine on.
4. LED Standby/Lack of water flashes no. 2 times = Standby not switched on
5. The Standby / Water shortage LED flashes 3 times = Standby engaged
6. Return the lever to the bottom.
7. Switch off the machine.
8. Switch the machine on again.
Repeating the operation switches from the on condition to the off condition and
vice versa.
To check whether the automatic standby function is on or off, simply count the
number of flashes of the Standby/Less Water LED and the number of audible
sounds emitted, as follows:
1. Switch on the machine.
2. Count the number of LED flashes and acoustic sounds:
a. LED flashes 2 times and 2 beeps are emitted = Standby not
activated.
b. LED flashes 3 times and 3 beeps are emitted = Standby on.
