If you activate DND while the answering
machine is off, the answering machine will be
automatically turned on.
If you deactivate the answering machine while
DND is on, DND will be automatically turned off.

Muting the Ringer (One Call Only)
To mute the station’s ringer for this call, while the phone is ringing:
HANDSET: Press or the MUTE soft key.
BASE: Press /EXIT or the MUTE soft key.
The cordless handset must be off the charger to mute the ringer.
The phone will ring again normally on the next call.
Muting the Microphone
Mute turns off the microphone so the caller cannot hear you. The
display shows the icon while the microphone is muted.
1. While you are on a call,
press the MUTE soft key.
2. MUTE ON will appear in the display for 2 seconds, but the
icon will appear and remain in the display until the feature is
turned off.
3. To cancel muting, press the
MUTE soft key. MUTE OFF
appears.
Privacy Mode
If you don’t want another station to interrupt you while on a
call, you can turn on privacy mode. As long as your station is in
privacy mode, other stations won’t be able to join your call or
make any calls of their own.
1. While you are on a call, press the
MENU soft key.
2. Move the cursor to CALL PRIVACY, and then press the
OK
soft key.
