7. You will hear a tone conrming that the new phonebook
entry has been stored, and DONE! appears in the display.
NOTE
When the shared memory is full, the oldest Caller
ID message is overwritten.
Finding a Phonebook Entry
Phonebook entries are stored in alphabetical order. You can scroll
through the phonebook, or you can also use the letters on the
number keys to jump to a name starts with that letter.
1. Press
to open the phonebook.
2. To nd the phonebook entry you want to view:
Scroll through the phonebook by pressing or on the
four-way function key. You can press and hold or to
scroll through the display quickly.
OR
Press a number key (0, 29) once for the rst letter, twice
for the second letter, and so on. The phonebook jumps to the
rst entry that begins with the letter you entered; you can
then use or to scroll to other entries. For example, to
search for an entry beginning with the letter M, press 6 once.
3. When viewing the phonebook entry, use the
soft key
or right on the four-way function key to display the DIAL
NUMBER 2. To show the personal ring and speed dial, press
the soft key or right on the four-way function key.
To close the phonebook while the phone is in standby:
HANDSET: Press .
BASE: Press /EXIT.
If you are looking up an entry during a call:
HANDSET: Press /FLASH.
BASE: Press /EXIT.
During a call, pressing on the handset or on the base to
close the phonebook will disconnect the call immediately.
