Event log configuration
Security menu
The AMI BIOS provides a Supervisor and a User password. If you use both passwords, you must
set the Supervisor password first.

BIOS item Usage
View Event Log Use this option to view the System Event Log.
Mark all events as read This option marks all events as read. The options are OK and Cancel.
Clear event log This option clears the Event Log memory of all messages. The options are OK and
Cancel.
PCI Error Log Use this option to enable PCI error (PERR) logging. The options are Yes and No.

BIOS item Usage
Supervisor Password This item indicates if a Supervisor password has been entered for the system. “Not
Installed” means a Supervisor password has not been used.
User Password This item indicates if a user password has been entered for the system. “Not
Installed” means that a user password has not been used.
Change Supervisor
Password
Select this feature and press Enter to access the submenu, and then enter a new
Supervisor Password.
