000), making sure it is inserted fully. Make sure the battery connectors on the
circuit board go all the way into the connector slots in the battery.
8. Inspect to make sure the ribbon connector is still connected, and plug it back in if
it has come unplugged.
9. Place the cover over the compartment by tilting it up and then fitting it in place.
10. Tighten all four screws by turning them clockwise with a torque-limiting
screwdriver (preferably an electric one). Tighten them in the numerical order
shown here, to a torque rating of 3.54 to 4.43 lbf-in (4.08 to 5.10 kgf-cm).
Note: Incorrectly tightening the screws may compromise the instrument’s
IP rating.
11. Inspect the filter in the top cap and replace if necessary. Screw on the top cap.
Important! Charge the battery completely before using the ToxiRAE Pro, and check the
calibration before placing the instrument in service.
