What to do if Rae MultiRAE Measuring Instruments shows a 'Pump failed message'?
    • J
      John HernandezJul 27, 2025
If your Rae Measuring Instruments displays a 'Pump failed message', several issues could be the cause. It might be due to a blocked inlet probe. Clear any obstructions and press the [Y/+] key to reset the pump alarm. Alternatively, direct connection to a gas outlet while the gas value is turned off can trigger this message, so remove the blocking objects and then press [Y/+] key to reset the pump alarm. Also, a contaminated or overly dirty water trap filter can cause the problem, in this case replace the water trap filter. Water condensation along the inlet probe can also be the reason, so be careful not to allow water condensation inside the unit. If none of these are the reason, the pump or pump circuit may be faulty, requiring a pump replacement.

Why does my Rae Measuring Instruments display a 'Lamp' message when I turn it on?
    • P
      Pamela MillerAug 5, 2025
The 'Lamp' message on your Rae Measuring Instruments typically appears due to low ion concentration inside the PID lamp, especially when first powered on in a cold environment. Try turning the unit off and then back on. If the problem persists, the UV lamp or its circuit may be defective, requiring a UV lamp replacement.
