14.5 Problem resolution
When an error message is displayed, you can swipe it away while you are waiting for assistance. The error
message will be minimised and shown as a red symbol on the side. If you press on this symbol, the error message
will be magnified again.
For all error messages, please contact your RATIONAL Service Partner. Always have the serial number of your unit
and the version number of the installed software ready. You will find both numbers in the error message.
14.5.1 Messages during cooking

Temperature measurement system error –
Temperature measurement system error Heating not possible.
Pan temperature measurement system error Only frying applications possible.
Core temperature probe error Cooking without a core probe is possible. Pressure
cooking not possible.
Pan drive system error Check whether there is an object below the pan that
is blocking it. Remove the object.
Error in the cover drive system Check whether there is an object below the pan that
is blocking it. Remove the object.
Pan valve error Caution food shrinkage possible. Only frying
applications possible.
Error in the pan valve drive Only frying applications possible.
Water circuit error Turn off water tap!
Water circuit error Please check the water inlet. Cooking without
automatic water inlet possible.
Water circuit error Please check the hot/water supply. Cooking without
automatic water inlet possible.
System communication error –

Safety chain error Cooking application(s) stopped
