5.3Mountingthetransducer
Thetransducerismountedtothemountingbrack
etusingthesuppliednut
andbolt.
Important:
Onlyperformtheinstallationwithyourvesseloutofthewater
.
DoNOTliftorsuspendthetransducerusingitscable.
DoNOTovertightenthebolt.Overtighteningmaycausedamageto
thetransducer.
Note:
Thescrewlocatedontopofthetransducerisusedwhenconnectingthe
transducertoamountingadaptorsuchastheS tepmountbracket(A80479).
Y oudonotneedtoadjustthisscrewfortransommountinstallations.
1.Ensurethattheplasticchock(markedAintheillustration)ispositioned
infrontofthetransducercable.Ifitisnot,pushthechockintothecorrect
position,aligningtheholeinthechockwiththeholesinthetransducer.
2.Positionthetransducerbetweenthearmsofthemountingbracket.
3.Aligntheholeinthetransducerwiththeholesinthemountingbracket.
4.Slidethemountingboltthroughtheholes.
5.Screwtheflangednylocknutontotheendofthemountingbolt.
6.Tightenthenutontothemountingbolt,using2x14mmwrenchesor
adjustablewrenches,untilthetransducerissecure,butcanstillbe
adjusted(tilted)byhand.
