3.5Locationrequirements
Theguidelinesbelowshouldbefollowedwhenselectingalocationforthe
transducer.
Note:
Theinformationbelowisprovidedforguidanceonly
.Optimumtransducer
locationwillbedifferentforeachvessel,anditisrecommendedthatthe
transduceristestedindifferentmountinglocations,toensureoptimum
performance.
•Toobtainthebestlocationforyourtransducer,observethetransomwhilst
underwayandinstallintheareawheretheleastamountofturbulence
andaerationoccurs.
•ThetransducerisNOTsuitableformountingonvesselswherethetransom
isaftofthepropeller(s).
•Thetransducershouldbemountedasclosetothecenterlineaspossible.
However,ifthecenterlineispointed,thetransducershouldbeoffset
fromthecenterline.
