4.3.2 Install Ethernet Surge Arrestor
This section describes the steps required to install the Ethernet line protector. The
protection unit should be mounted as close as possible to the Ethernet cable ingress
port in the cabinet/shelter, on a plate or bulkhead panel that is bonded to an earth-
ground system.
Do not install surge protection equipment during adverse weather
conditions when the threat of a lightning strike is possible.
