Important: The items in the table are required for basic installation. Based on the
Options Key installed, other features may be available that require configuration. Refer
to the RDL-3000 Family User Manual for additional information.
4.9 Configure System Operating Parameters
Use the following steps to setup a basic link between the base station and the Connect-
OWS wireless terminal:
5. Install the Connect system.
6. Use an Ethernet jumper cable to connect the test PC to the Connect system.
7. Power-on the Connect system and login to the management interface (Web or CLI).
8. If additional features have been purchased, enter the new options key.
9. Configure the Connect network and wireless settings.
4.9.1 Required Materials
Configuration of the Connect system settings requires additional equipment and
materials supplied by the installer. The following list is a guideline only, and additional
materials may be required based on local conditions at each installation site.

A CAT-5e crossover cable terminated with RJ-45 at both ends.
4.9.2 Establish Communications with Test PC
The wireless terminal can be configured and monitored using standard Web browser
(e.g., Firefox or Internet Explorer) or a Telnet client.
