8. Start/Stop/Span Frequency Adjustment: Entering a frequency value in the Start Frequency, Stop
Frequency, or Frequency Span dialog boxes will also change the frequency display accordingly.
Please note: Electronic equipment can have internally generated Electromagnetic Interference (EMI)
leakages from clock signals, power supplies, or other electronic circuitry which may be seen in the
spectrum analyzer display as low-power, very narrow signals. REI uses internal shielding to minimize
these false spurs, but they may be visible when zoomed in to very narrow resolution bandwidths.
Cached Peaks
As the spectrum is zoomed in on, the resolution bandwidth will change. It is not possible to maintain
peaks while zooming in due to the changes in resolution bandwidth. The MESA includes the feature,
cached peaks, to enable viewing of peaks obtained at previous resolution bandwidths.
To enable cached peaks:
1) In Spectrum Mode, select Cached Peak from the Mode Settings Menu. When the Cached Peak
feature is enabled, this button will be highlighted orange.
