Locked Monitor Mode
Locked Monitor Mode enables the MESA to be locked for overnight or extended monitoring to keep
others from tampering with the device or settings.
To initiate Locked Monitor Mode:
1. From Spectrum or SmartBars Mode, press and hold the Lock Icon on the screen for at least 5
seconds.
2. Set a 4-digit PIN code to lock the device & press OK.
3. Enter the same 4-digit PIN code again to verify the PIN code.
4. The MESA is now in Locked Monitor Mode.
The lock screen displays an event log, which can be saved to an inserted thumb drive. The event log will
record actions that occurred while the MESA was in Locked Monitor Mode, such as whether the AC
Power supply was connected or disconnected, whether the power button was pressed, or whether a PIN
Entry was attempted.
The screen will automatically fade to black after a few seconds. To display the lock screen again, tap
anywhere on the screen.
To unlock the MESA:
1. From the lock screen, press Unlock.
2. Re-enter the PIN code used to lock the device. The device will now once again be unlocked.
Notes:
It is very important to remember the PIN code used to lock the device.
If an incorrect PIN code is entered, use the backspace key to erase the incorrect entry and try again.
After 10 unsuccessful attempts to unlock the MESA, a delay of 30 seconds will occur.
After 10 more unsuccessful attempts to unlock the MESA, a delay of 60 seconds will occur.
Increasingly longer delays will occur with further incorrect entries.
