DIESEL INJECTION
Leak flow from injectors: Check

a Connect the four transparent hoses of the tool (Mot.
1771) on the diesel injectors in place of each union
of the diesel injector fuel return rail.
a Insert these hoses in the four graduated measuring
cylinders (6) of the tool (Mot. 1711).
a Refit the turbocharger air outlet pipe (see 12B, Tur-
bocharging, Intercooler air inlet pipe: Removal -
Refitting, page 12B-41) .
II - CHECKING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Connect a self-contained starter.
a Force the vehicle's + after ignition feed.
a Connect the diagnostic tool.
a Run commands:
-RZ009 Vehicle function programming,
-VP036 Inhibit fuel supply.
a Run the starter for 15 seconds.
a Check that the injector return volume is greater than
or equal to 20 ml.
a Repeat the starting phase twice, allowing an interval
of 30 seconds between each starting phase.
a Run command VP037 Stop fuel supply inhibition.
a Disconnect:
-the diagnostic tool,
-the self-contained starter.
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Remove the turbocharger outlet air pipe (see 12B,
Turbocharging, Intercooler air inlet pipe: Remo-
val - Refitting, page 12B-41) .
a Disconnect the four transparent pipes of the tool
(Mot. 1771) from the diesel injectors.
a Connect the diesel injector fuel return rail unions to
the diesel injectors.
a Refit:
- the injector rail protector cover,
- the injector rail protector cover bolt.
a Clip on the injector rail protector cover.
a Refit:
-the turbocharger air outlet pipe (see 12B, Turbo-
charging, Intercooler air inlet pipe: Removal -
Refitting, page 12B-41) ,
- the engine cover.

Check that the unions of the fuel return rail are
correctly connected.
