6.7 PHOTOCONDUCTOR UNIT (PCU)
6.7.1 OVERVIEW
The PCU consists of the components shown in the above illustration. An organic
photoconductor (OPC) drum (diameter: 30 mm) is used in this machine.

3. Pick-off Pawl
4. OPC Drum
5. ID Sensor (see the note below this list)
6. Development Roller
7. Development Unit
8. Charge Roller
9. Charge Roller Cleaning Roller
10. Quenching Lamp (see the note below
this list)
 These parts are not included in the PCU.
The machine informs the user when the PCU life has finished. However, the user can
continue to make copies.
SP5-912 can be used to enable or disable this warning message, and to change the default
replacement interval (the default is 60k).
