General operation

If there is a large solid image on the original, the Add Toner
indicator may
be lit after copying although toner remains in the toner bottle. In this case, turn
the main switch off and then back on again.
When removing misfed paper
CAUTION:When removing misfed paper, do not touch the fus-
ing section because it could be very hot.
❐
Do not leave any torn scraps of paper in the machine.
❐
When clearing misfeeds, do not turn off the main switch. If you do, your copy
settings will be cleared.
❐
After clearing misfeeds, make sure that all units and levers are returned to their
original positions and all covers are closed.
Document Feeder (Option)
❐
While originals are fed from the original table to the exposure glass, do not pull
out the originals.
❐
Do not lift the document feeder until the last original has been completely fed
out.
❐
Do not press down or hold originals after inserting them.
❐
Do not press any parts of the document feeder strongly.
10-bin Sorter (Option)
❐
Do not touch moving bins.
❐
Do not place objects on the sorter when it is open.
❐
Do not press the sorter when it is open.
