RIGOL Chapter 6 MATH and Measurements
6-32 MSO2000A/DS2000A User’s Guide
The Y cursors are a pair of horizontal solid/dotted lines and are usually used
to measure voltage parameters.
The X-Y cursors are a pair of vertical solid/dotted lines and a pair of
horizontal solid/dotted lines and are usually used to measure time and
voltage parameters at the same time.
Note: When the current measurement source is LA, the cursor type is “X” and
cannot be set.

2. Select Measurement Source
Press Source to select the waveform of the analog channels (CH1 or CH2),
math operation results (MATH) or LA waveform for measurement. If “None” is
selected, no cursor will be displayed.
Note: For CH1, CH2, MATH and LA, only channel currently enabled can be
selected.

3. Select Screen Region
When Zoom is enabled (pressing the HORIZONTAL
  SCALE can
enables Zoom), the screen is divided into two regions, Main and Zoom.
Press Screen to select “Main” or “Zoom”. When “Main” is selected, the
cursors are displayed in the main region and measure the signal displayed
in the main region. The measurement results are displayed in the zoom
region. When “Zoom” is selected, the cursors are displayed in the zoom
region and measure the signal displayed in the zoom region. The
measurement results are displayed in the main region.
Note: When the current measurement source is LA or MATH, only the
parameters in the Zoom region can be measured.
When Zoom is disabled, “Main” is automatically selected in Screen and
cannot be modified.

4. Select X (Y) Axis Unit
When the measurement source is “CH1”, “CH2” or “MATH”
When the display mode is “X” or “X-Y”, press Time Unit to select “s”, “Hz”, “°” or
“%”.
s: in the measurement results, A->X, B->X and △X denote time and 1/△X
denotes frequency.
Hz: in the measurement results, A->X, B->X and △X denote frequency and
1/△X denotes time.
