3. Product Configuration 3-3. Inserting the batteries

3 Remove the old batteries, then insert new
batteries. Note the polarity.
When removing the batteries, push the [+] end
toward the [−] end and then lift out. Remove the
batteries one at a time.
When inserting the batteries, match the polarity
markings to the markings inside the product.
4 Close the battery cover, then tighten the battery
cover retaining screw with the flathead
screwdriver.
DANGER
 If the product is used as an explosion-proof device, note that the explosion-proofing rating conditions specify the
battery type to be used.
The battery types are as follows:
<Dry cell specifications>
・ Japan models:
Power source: 3 V DC, 1mA (Toshiba LR03 battery × 2)
・ Export models:
Power source: 3 V DC, 1 mA (Toshiba LR03, Duracell MN2400, or Duracell PC2400 battery × 2)
<Rechargeable battery specifications>
