The status bits are additive. For example, if the load cell cable is disconnected and
therefore neither sense line is connected, the resulting status setting will be 00C0
(0040 + 0080). The numbers add in hexadecimal as follows:
1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - A - B - C - D - E - F
(For example, 2 + 4 = 6 or 4 + 8 = C)
