Zig-zag Transformer
When an ungrounded system is used for power distribution, a zig-zag transformer can be used to create an artificial neutral for sensing ground
faults. A typical ground fault-detection arrangement has a zig-zag transformer that sources a neutral resistor with a ground fault indicator filter
sense circuit.

PowerFlex 755TM System DC Bus Ratings
The PowerFlex 755TM common DC bus system offers two bus bar rating options, 3000 A DC or 4700 A DC at 40 °C (104 °F) ambient temperature. It’s
critical when configuring the PowerFlex 755TM common DC bus system to select the same bus bar option for all PowerFlex 755TM system
enclosures in the lineup.
The 3000 A DC bus bar is standard for 20JxF… PowerFlex 755TM regenerative bus supplies, 20GxD/E… common bus inverters frames 8…10, and
20JEH… PowerFlex 755TM non-regenerative bus supplies with the -P47 system bus option. If it’s determined that 4700 A DC bus bar is required per
system characteristics, then the -P46 power option must be added to the catalog number of these products.
The following rules should be used to determine whether the -P46 option 4700 ADC bus bar should be specified.
• If the sum of all the inverter/drive rated DC input amps within the system is greater than 3000 amps DC

• If any 20GxD/E… common bus inverter or 20JxF… regenerative bus supply is frame 11…15. (All 20GxD/E… common bus inverters and
20JxF… regenerative bus supplies, frames 11…15, come with 4700 A DC rated system bus bars installed as a standard offering).
