APPENDIX A: C52/C82 CONTROL PANEL RESPONSE ACCORDING TO THE ZONE WIRING TYPES
A.1. SINGLE ZONE INPUT TERMINAL CONNECTIONS
The system hardware recognizes the following single zone input terminal connections. For more information on
programming the options mentioned in the following sections refer to the zone definitions within 01 to 10
programming sections.
A.1.1. SINGLE ZONE with N.C. & N.O. CONTACTS, with EOL RESISTOR, without TAMPER
RECOGNITION
If your security installation does not require tamper or wire fault recognition, but for some zones
it requires to use a mixture of detection devices with normally open and normally closed contacts,
connect the detection devices with a 3K3 end of line (EOL) resistor, as shown in the next figure
and ensure the zone wiring attributes are programmed as shown in the next table. This setup will
communicate the violated zone to the control panel which will display it on the keypads.
A.1.2. SINGLE ZONE with N.C. CONTACTS, with EOL RESISTOR and TAMPER RECOGNITION
If your security installation requires tamper (open circuit) and wire fault (short circuit)
recognition, connect the detection devices with a 1K end of line (EOL) resistor, as shown in the
next figure and ensure the zone wiring attributes are programmed as shown in the next table.
This setup will communicate the violated zone to the control panel which will display it on the
keypads. The control panel will also communicate any open loops (tamper trouble) and/or short
circuits (wire fault trouble) as per Tamper / Wire Fault Recognition Options. Do not use devices
with N.O. contacts in this zone setup, as this will cause the zone to remain in alarm.
A.2. ZONE DOUBLING or ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY ZONE (ATZ) CONNECTIONS
Advanced Technology Zoning (ATZ) feature allows you to install two detection devices per input
terminal, therefore, doubling zone capacity of the control panel. Advanced technology zoning is a
software-oriented feature, there is no need for extra modules, simply install the devices as shown in the next
sections. The extra zones function exactly like any other zone displaying zone status on the keypads and
sending separate alarm codes for each zone. Please note that zone doubling (ATZ) feature is applying
individually for any 1 to 5/8 zone terminals and the control panel will recognize the installed devices as
shown in next figure. For more information on programming the options mentioned in the following sections
refer to the zone definitions within 01 to 10 programming sections.

RECONGNITION
