Apply LOCTITE
Anti-Seize
to sliding
face

Slide bronze
thrust washer
@ and dog
hub
@ onto clutch hub
@ and feed into
clurch
drum O. Then insert
alternately

pre-oiled
steel disks @
and 8
pre-oiled
sinterdisks

Place
thrust ring
and
2
disk
springs L0Ox76x2,7
against each other
into
position
with first
spring centering
on thrust
ring.
For fitting
collar nut,
place
clutch ass'y horizontally
to
prevent
de-centering
of the
outer
disk spring.
Tighten
nut,
using
pin-face
wrench, firstly
to approx. 20 Nm
(180
in.lb.), install
clutch
ass'y
into gearbox
on
propshaft
and
adjust slipping
torque
(consult
chapter 6.15.1, checking
of the slipping
torque).
After
setring of
thg rfif,p#g torque,
secure collar nut
by denting into
the fixing holes
o.

gearbox
After heating
up
gear
cover
in
oven to
100o
C
(215"
F), insert
oil seal
40-52-
I from
the
inside,
using
punch

grease
sealing
lips.
Add
distance rin
936/50/5,5
with

oil seal. Press in
ball bearing,
utilizing
press-ring

insertion

bearing
in
position,
using hardened

screws with LOCTITE

andtighten
to
l0 Nm

Apply
LOCTITE Anti-Seize
to bearing seat

prop
shaft
into
gear
cover. Don't
tap! Make absolutely
sure to support
the inner ring
of
the
bearing with suitable tube.It would
be an advantage, if
gearcoveris
still warm
at this
stage.
Slide on distance sleeve
35,214218 and eccenter collar for fuel
pump.
From now
on, distinguish clearly between
gearbox
with
orwithout
overload clutch!
