2.1.2 Solar support
When connected to a ROTEX solar system, the flat solar
panels transform solar radiation into heat very efficiently. When
the h
eat carrier medium (water) reaches a usable temperature it
is pumped through the solar panels by the feed pumps in the
control and pump unit of the
solar system. In the integrated
storage tank of the ROTEX HPSU compact, the solar heat gen-
erated in this way is transferred into the heating and hot water
circuit.
2.1.3 Safety management
The total security management of the ROTEX heat pump system
is assumed by the electronic control integrated in the HPSU
compact. in the event of a water shortage, loss of refrigerant or
undefined operating states, a safety switch-off is performed. A
corresponding fault signal provides an engineer with all the nec-
essary information for troubleshooting.
2.1.4 Electronic control
The RoCon HP electronic digital control unit is able to automati-
cally control all heating, cooling and hot water functions for a
direct heating circuit, a storage tank charging circuit and also
further heating circuits for optional mixer modules.
All function settings for the ROTEX HPSU compact and the op-
tional equipment (terminal function) connected via the data bus
are
performed by the operating elements of the RoCon B1 inte-
grated into the controls and are displayed in clear text on a col-
oured backlit ground.
The display and operation of a connected ROTEX solar system
is pe
rformed via the related control system of this component
(e.g. control and pump unit).
