G.2 - Raising the anchor.
Start raising the anchor
Check the chain is being stored correctly into the compartment to avoid a chain jam
Raise the anchor up to the bridle snapshackle, remove the bridle snapshackle and
attach it to its hoist.
Raise the anchor slowly, ensuring that it is positioned correctly in the davit.
Secure the chain with the chain hoist provided.
When raising the anchor, it is advisable to use the engines in such a way as to guide
the craft towards the chain: this will avoid overloading the windlass and the davit
During operation, stay away from the windlass and chain.
Pay special attention to the protection of hands and feet
