Attaching positioners with
stainless steel housings
Positioners with stainless steel housings re-
quire mounting parts that are completely
made of stainless steel or free of aluminum.
The pneumatic connecting plate and pres-
sure gauge bracket are available in stainless
steel (order numbers listed below). The
Type3710 Pneumatic Reversing Amplier is
also available in stainless steel.

5.11 Air purging function for
single-acting actuators
The instrument air leaving the positioner is
diverted to the actuator spring chamber to
provide corrosion protection inside the actu-
ator. The following must be observed:

The air purging function is automatically
provided.
