Advanced Wi-Fi Settings
The advanced Wi-Fi settings allow you to set up and manage
wireless access points.
1. From the
Settings
screen, touch
Wi-Fi
.
2. Touch
Smart network switch
to automatically switch
between Wi-Fi and mobile networks to maintain a
stable Internet connection.

The following options are available:
• Network notification
: Alerts you when a new WAP is
available.
•Passpoint
: Connects to passpoint-enabled Wi-Fi Access Points
automatically. Touch the check box to create a check mark and
activate the feature.
•Sort by
: Sorts Wi-Fi networks by alphabet or RSSI (received
signal strength indicator).
• Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep
: Specifies when to disconnect
from Wi-Fi.
• Always allow scanning
: Allows Google location service and
other apps to scan for networks, even when Wi-Fi is turned off.
•Auto connect
: Automatically connects to an AT&T Wi-Fi
Hotspot as soon as your device detects it.
• Install certificates
: Installs authentication certificates.
•MAC address
: Views your device’s MAC address, required
when connecting to some secured networks (not configurable).
•IP address
: Views your device’s IP address.
Activating Wi-Fi Direct
Wi-Fi Direct allows device-to-device connections so you can
transfer large amounts of data over a Wi-Fi connection.

Settings
screen, touch
Wi-Fi

2. Touch the
ON/OFF
button to turn Wi-Fi on.
