Composing and Sending SMS Text Messages
With SMS Text Messaging, you can use other people’s wireless
phone numbers to send and receive messages from your
phone to their messaging-ready phones and they can send
messages to you.
To compose and send an SMS Text message:
1. Select > Messaging > Send Message > Text.
2. Select <Add Entry> to select a way of selecting a new
entry.
3. Press Done (left softkey) when you have finished
selecting and entering recipients. (You may include up
to 10 recipients per message.)
4. Select Next (left softkey) and compose a message and
press when you are finished.

Press Mode (right softkey) for a different character
input mode. (See “Entering Text”on page 41.)
5. To set the message priority, scroll to Priority > Ordinary or
Urgent.
6. Review your message and press Send (left softkey). (You
can also select a callback number or change the
recipients by pressing Options [right softkey].)
Tip: You can also send an SMS Text message by using the Send Quick Text
menu. (Press the navigation key up in standby mode.)
