Drip tray
The drip tray must be emptied as soon as the floater appears or at least once daily.
► Carefully pull out the drip tray.
► Empty the drip tray and reinsert it.
► Check that the tray is correctly positioned. An incorrectly inserted drip tray can cause water
to leak or the machine to jam.
Waste water tank (Option)
Option: Emptying the waste water tank
On coffee machines with an external waste water tank, the tank needs to be emptied regularly,
or at the very latest when the instruction to empty appears on the display.
► Remove and empty the waste water tank.
► Clean the waste water tank thoroughly with household cleaner and rinse with fresh water.
► Replace the waste water tank.

Transport requirements
Improper transport of the coffee machine can result in injuries.
Observe general regulations for health and safety.
► Before moving the coffee machine, be certain to disconnect the drinking water supply,
power supply and waste water outlet.
► Before moving the coffee machine, check the floor for obstacles and uneven areas.
Improper transport of the machine can result in damage to the machine.
Adhere to the following instructions when moving machines on a cart:
• For safety reasons, the cart must be pulled and not pushed when moving the coffee ma-
chine.
• Only pull the cart; never pull the machine directly.
• The cart is not intended to be used for transporting freight.
The manufacturer cannot be held liable for any damage resulting from unintended use of the
cart or the failure to comply with the operating instructions.
Display notes/instructions
The machine shows display messages when intervention by the user or a service technician
is necessary to be able to assure that the machine remains ready for use.
There are two different categories of display messages:
• Note / Instruction
• Error message
