HYDRAULICS
Periodically clean dirt and debris from the bottom side of the depth stop ring.
Inspect hydraulic hoses, fittings and cylinders for wear or leaks. Use a piece
of cardboard or wood rather than hands to search for suspected leaks.
Replace if necessary.
Before applying pressure to the hydraulic system, be sure all connections
are tight and that the hoses are not damaged. Mnt-R-0007 str
Do not operate this Equipment with hydraulic oil or fuel leaking. Oil and fuel
are explosive and their presence could present a hazard. Do not check for
leaks with your hand! High-pressure oil streams from breaks in the line
could penetrate the skin and cause tissue damage including gangrene. To
check for a hose leak, SHUT the unit ENGINE OFF and remove all
hydraulic pressure. Wear oil impenetrable gloves, safety glasses and use
cardboard to check for evidence of oil leaks. If you suspect a leak,
REMOVE the HOSE and have it tested at a Dealer. If oil does penetrate
the skin, have the injury treated immediately by a physician knowledgeable
and skilled in this procedure.

PROPER TORQUE FOR FASTENERS
The chart lists the correct tightening torque for fasteners. When bolts are to be tightened or replaced, refer to
this chart to determine the grade of bolts and the proper torque except when specific torque values are
assigned in manual text.
RECOMMENDED TORQUE IN FOOT POUNDS UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED IN THE MANUAL*
NOTE: These values apply to fasteners as received from supplier, dry or when lubricated with normal engine
oil. They do not apply if special graphited or molydisulphide greases or other extreme pressure lubricants are
used. This applies to both UNF fine and UNC coarse threads.
