GENERAL ASSEMBLY
Check oil level in all gearboxes before operation. Refer to the ‘Lubrication’ section of this man-
ual for recommended oil type and viscosity.
Lubricate all grease fittings. Refer to the grease schedule in this manual.
Check that all nuts and bolts are in place and properly tightened. Refer to the ‘Maintenance’ section of this
manual for required bolt grades and torques.
Check that all tires are inflated to proper specifications. Refer to the ‘Maintenance’ section of this manual for
required tire pressures.
CHAIN GUARDS
The XH1500/XH1000 Series 5 comes standard
with double chain guards. Use the Parts Manual
for chain guard locations on the rotary cutter.
Insert the middle link of a 15-link chain into the
first slot of the chain rail and slide the 1/4”
galvanized rod into the link. Continue along the
length of the chain rail until all links are inserted.
Bend the end 2” of the galvanized rod back to
keep the chains from falling loose.
