10.10 Shutting Down the Implement
To shut down the implement, first bring the tractor
to a complete stop. Then slow down the
implement by reducing the engine speed before
disengaging the PTO. Wait for all motion to stop
before proceeding to drive or shut down the
tractor.
Park the tractor on a level surface, place the
transmission in park or neutral and apply the
parking brake, lower the attached implement to
the ground, shut down the engine, remove the
key, and wait for all motion to come to a complete
stop before exiting the tractor. OPS-U- 0016_B

11.DISCONNECTING THE MOWER FROM THE TRACTOR
Always shut the Tractor completely down, place the transmission in park, and set the parking
brake before you or anyone else attempts to connect or disconnect the Implement and Tractor
hitches.
(S3PT-15) str
Before disconnecting the mower, the PTO must be disengaged and blade rotation at a complete stop. Move
the mower to a level storage location and lower the center section and both wings to the ground. If the mower
will be stored with the wings in the raised position, install both wing and center section transport pins. If the
mower is not resting securely on the ground, block the mower up securely before attempting to disconnect it
from the tractor.
Use extreme care to keep feet and hands out from under the mower and clear of any pinch points when
disconnecting the mower from the tractor.
When disconnecting the implement, the tractor
should be completely shut down. Relieve hydraulic
pressure by moving the control levers back and
forth several times.
Pivot the parking jack to near vertical by loosening
the jack mount and rotating it on the frame. Tighten
the jack mount bolts again. Lower the parking jack
and raise the implement until the tongue clevis is
no longer resting on the drawbar and is supported
completely by the jack. Also, make sure the parking
jack is resting squarely on a hard level surface.
Remove the pin.
