HYDRAULIC CIRCUITS
Adjust the hoses in the hose organizer to allow sufficient slack for turning. Ensure the hoses will contact the
driveline, will not bind while turning or can become pinched.
Route the left wing hoses over the center lock bar and fastener to the hose clamp. Wrap the hose sections into
hook-and-loop hose wrap.
Wing System
IMPORTANT: If the rotary cutter has been supplied to you already assembled, it is possible that the wing lift
hydraulic cylinders are not completely filled with oil. An indication of this is that the wing lock up pins cannot be
removed freely.
First, fully retract the wing cylinders then remove the wing lock up pins.
The wing system is marked in blue for the right wing and red for the left wing.
Refer to the Parts Manual for a complete list of fittings and hydraulic hose part numbers.
NEVER FORCE THE WING LIFT LOCK PINS OUT OF THEIR LOCK POSITION AS THE
WINGS MAY SUDDENLY DROP CAUSING INJURY OR EVEN DEATH.
Phasing System
The hydraulic phasing cylinder kit requires one double acting hydraulic circuit for operation. The system is
comprised of three hydraulic cylinders with a depth stop collar on the center, and allows all wheels to be raised
and lowered simultaneously.
Before operation, all air must be purged from the hydraulic lift circuit. Fully raise the cutter and hold the tractor’s
hydraulic control lever forward for 5 minutes to allow oil to fully circulate through the phasing cylinder circuit.

During operation, the phasing cylinders should periodically be phased. The hydraulic lever should only have to
be held for 10-15 seconds to ensure system is phased.
