Instruction Manual Multiscan 8+
When a new event occurs, the screen will automatically switch to the ACTIVE EVENTS list
and the buzzer of the central unit will sound. Until ACK is pressed for the new event, it will
not be possible to go back to the main screen.
The screens in Figure 3.5.1 show events for which ACK has not yet been pressed. Once the
event has been acknowledged (pressing ACK), an "X" is shown in the right column.
It is possible to perform 3 operations for active events:
- press ENT per additional details about the event
- press ACK to acknowledge the event and silence the buzzer of the central unit
- press RST (Reset) to restore the central unit to its normal status (this is only possible if
ACK was pressed before and if the gas detector is no longer in the alarm and/or fault
status)
ACK
When an event occurs (alarm or fault), the buzzer of the central unit will sound and the
display will switch to the Active Events page, which will indicate the sensor in Alarm
and/or Fault. To silence the buzzer of the central unit, turn the key to the central position
(ACK) and press the ACK key; the central unit buzzer will stop and an X will appear on the
right hand event line.
RESET
By turning the key to the left and pressing RST on a previously acknowledged event
(with the indication "X"), the event will be reset and disappear from the ACTIVE EVENTS
list.
NOTE: if the event attempted to be reset still exists (such as a gas detector still in Alarm
status), after the reset procedure, the event will still appear as needing the
acknowledgement button (ACK) to be pressed again.
