PROBE OFFSET
The Offset Probe allows you to adjust the distance of the printing plate from the extruder.
● choose a variation value (0.05, 0.1, 1);
● increase or decrease the offset value (commands + and -);
The value displayed at the first Offset Probe operation with the original factory printing
plate calibration is “0”.
The procedure is to perform in the case of:
● Use different (more or less thickness) printing surfaces from those provided by the
factory;
● Replacement of the extrusion nozzle;
Rule of thumb in changing the Probe Offset:
● Increase the offset value to increase the plane-nozzle distance (you get a first less
crushed layer);
● Decrease the offset value to reduce the plane-nozzle distance (you get a first more
crushed layer);
If the nozzle is replaced, at first printing test always increase the Probe offset value by at
least 1.5 mm to prevent possible nozzle crash on the printing plate. Check the amount of
extruded material during the first layer and adjust the Probe offset value accordingly.
Please note that this is a dual extruder printer: if you change the offset probe value this will
impact also on the plane-nozzle distanza of the second extruder.
Furthermore, if you replace or disassemble an extruder, you also need to calibrate the
X-Y-Z offset of the second extruder. In this case contact your official resellers or
Sharebot-qualified technicians.
