If a small original such as A5 (5-1/2" x 8-1/2") original has misfed or an original has misfed in
the reversing tray (when an RSPF is installed), open the right side cover and gently remove the
misfed original. Close the right side cover.

Gently remove the misfed original from the exit area.

If the misfed original cannot be easily removed from the exit area, open the front part of the
document feeder tray to remove the original. With the RSPF, pull out the reversing tray to
remove the misfed original.
NOTE:
With the RSPF, after removing the misfed original from the exit area, be sure to insert the
reversing tray into the exit area until it locks in place.

Open and close the document feeder cover to cancel the misfeed
display.

You can also cancel the misfeed display by opening and closing the feeding roller cover
or the right side cover.
●
The number of originals that must be returned to the document feeder tray will be
indicated in the display.

Return the indicated number of originals to the document feeder tray
and press the START ( ) key to resume copying.
