1. Ensure that the power supply unit can provide the necessary voltage and current
for operating the device. Particular attention must be given to the voltage drop
across the supply line (see "Calculation rule", page 42),and for digital outputs the
additional voltage drop in the opposite direction and the required start-up power
(see "Mechanics/Electronics", page 55), without which the device cannot start
reliably.
2. Ensure the voltage supply is not connected.
3. Connect the device according to the connection diagram, see "Connection dia‐
gram", page 44.
