This chapter describes the operation of the UE410 Safeguard Detector Box safety sys‐
t
em.
These operating instructions do not provide information on operating the machine in
which the UE410 Safeguard Detector Box safety system is integrated.

9.2 Operating notes
Safety outputs Q1 and Q2
If t
he connected Safeguard Detector sensors do not generate a 10 Hz signal, safety out‐
puts Q1/Q2 switch off within the response time. For example, this is the case if the sen‐
sors do not detect any object or if there is a sensor error.
Application diagnostic output Q3 “reset required”
The application diagnostic output Q3 indicates the status reset required. Depending on
the configuration, a signal lamp or higher-level control can be connected to this output.
Input I2 is used for configuring output Q3.
