Protecting the cooling-water system
When the units are delivered, the stainless steel/cast iron cooling-water pipe system is not
filled with cooling water.
● When you place the motor in storage after use, drain the cooling water ducts and purge
them with air so that they are completely empty.
● To operate the motor, add an anti-freeze agent (e.g Antifrogen or Tyfocor) to the cooling
water (max. 20% to 30%).
CAUTION
Frost damage to the cooling circuit
The cooling circuit can be damaged if the cooling water freezes. If the ambient
temperature falls below 0°C during operation, add anti-freeze to the cooling water.
